Bukas palang namin sila kukunin.

Excited kami kasi dadating na mga Tita ko from US. Ang sama ko pero I’m more excited on the pasalubong for Baby J hahaha. We haven’t bought anything for baby J kasi. Usapan namin ni Jason, will wait for the balikbayan boxes from California and Hawaii (yes dalawa sila dadating this week) bago kami mamili, will see kung ano kulang para hindi ma-doble. Don’t worry, I’ll share the stuffs na marereceive ni Baby J.

I’ll be with them all throughout their stay in Manila. Yung Mall of Asia tour and Intramurous tour kasama ako. Kaya nga super duper pahinga ako ngayon. Para I could keep up on them. Sabi naman ni Tita, she just wanted some company, kaya di naman niya ako papagurin wahahaha!

While I was watching TV kanina, gumagalaw si Baby J, nakita ko na parang umalon or parang may umumbok sa tummy ko. First time nangyari sa akin yun kaya super duper natuwa ako. Siguro nag-stretch si Baby J hehehe.

Wala lang nag-update lang ako. Actually, super bored lang ako. I don’t know why …

-oo0oo-

My condolences to the family of Arch. Vreneli Samson’s mother. Her Nanay passed away yesterday. Vena just texted me and informed me about this one. May she rest in peace and may her family find the strength to overcome this trial in their lives. May God bless her soul and open the gates of Heaven for her.

Ayokong ma-stress

As much as possible ayoko talaga ma-stress …

I have to work on it all over again … ngayon pa na magkakaroon na ng reason para mag-scrap ako dahil sa pagdating ni Baby J. Nakakainis sobra! Calling all my digiscrapping ka-bloggies diyan, share naman kayo ng sites to where I could get freebies na di nag-eexpire … para makuha ko pa din yung mga old freebies nila.

Hubby makes me feel good everyday. tuwing umaga pagkagising niya hinihimas niya agad yung tummy ko. Naging insomiac kasi ako nung nabuntis ako kaya I sleep late and woke up late din. I could already feel his excitement. Kakatuwa …

Baby J is now 22 weeks (baby J, konting panahon nalang at kasama ka na namin ni Daddy J) … according to babycenter.com:

How your baby’s growing:

Your baby now looks like a miniature newborn, checking in at 10.9 inches (the length of a spaghetti squash) and almost 1 pound. Her skin will continue to appear wrinkled until she gains enough weight to fill it out, and the fine hair (lanugo) that covers her head and body is now visible. Her lips are becoming more distinct, and the first signs of teeth are appearing as buds beneath her gum line. Her eyes are developed, though the iris (the colored part of the eye) still lacks pigment. Eyelids and eyebrows are in place, and her pancreas, essential for hormone production, is developing steadily.

How your life’s changing:

You may start to notice stretch marks on your skin as your abdomen expands to accommodate your growing baby. Some pregnant women never get stretch marks, but at least half do. These small streaks of differently textured skin can range from pink to dark brown (depending on your skin color), and they become more apparent as pregnancy progresses. They can appear not only on your tummy, but also on your buttocks, thighs, hips, and breasts. Lotions won’t prevent or eliminate them, but they help with any itching. Also, you may no longer be an “innie” — your navel is flat and may soon pop out. It will revert to its usual shape after birth.

Another interesting skin quirk you may notice during pregnancy is something called vascular spiders. These are little areas of raised, reddish skin, with tiny branches. Commonly found on the face, neck, upper chest, and arms, they’re caused by the higher levels of estrogen in pregnancy, and they usually disappear after delivery.

Baby J is a …

zwani.com myspace graphic comments

Yup, it’s a girl … big hunch ko pa naman it’s a boy… before I’ll tell you about the congenital screening, kwento ko muna what happened yesterday.

Since Thursday kasi di kumikilos si Baby J. Medyo napraning nanaman ako and may I text si OB about what’s happening. She told me to go to FEU Hospital sa Pay Treatmeant Room at hintayin ko daw yung resident OB dun. She wants to know baby J’s heart tone. In other words, nasa deep sleeping state si Baby J. Or she’s doing some moves pero small lang kaya di ko masyado nararamdaman. Then my OB texted me na tomorrow na ako magpa-congenital screening, kasabay ng sister niya.

Everytime the sonologist would tell it’s diagnosis, I can hear my mom saying “Hay, salamat sa Diyos”. I can’t forget the look at mom and dad’s face … grabe PRICELESS! I wish I have my camera. Sarap nila kunan ng picture wahahaha! Yung ngiti di natatanggal. At first naman talaga, they wanted a girl pag galing sa akin ang apo.

According to babycenter.com:

How your baby’s growing:

Your baby now weighs about three-quarters of a pound and is approximately 10 1/2 inches long — the length of a carrot. His eyebrows and eyelids are fully developed. And you can certainly feel him move. He’s oblivious to your schedule, though, so don’t be surprised if he starts working out just when you’re settling down for the night. If you’re having a girl, her vagina is formed now, though it will continue to develop until birth.

Note: Every baby develops a little differently — even in the womb. Our information is designed to give you a general idea of your baby’s development.

How your life’s changing:

You’re probably feeling pretty comfortable these days. You’re not too big yet, and the usual aches and pains associated with early pregnancy are, for the most part, gone. Relax and enjoy it while you can — the third trimester will bring some mild discomfort from carrying a baby who is nearly full-term.

That’s not to say you don’t have some minor glitches to deal with now. Increased oil production may have given you a mild case of acne, for example. If that’s the case, be diligent about washing well with a gentle soap and water twice a day, but don’t take any oral acne medications — or even use any topical acne products — without checking with your practitioner first.

You’re also prone to varicose veins now (especially if your mom has them). That’s because pregnancy puts added pressure on the veins in your legs. (Your blood volume is increased and your uterus puts pressure on the inferior vena cava, the large vein that returns blood from the lower half of your body to your heart.) As if that’s not enough, an increase in the hormone progesterone causes the walls of your blood vessels to relax, so as your baby and uterus grow, the veins can become more and more prominent. Varicose veins tend to worsen with each pregnancy, and while they’re most likely to show up in your legs, they can also appear on your vulva.

If your legs ache, put maternity support hose on first thing in the morning. Increasing your circulation with a brisk walk each day can also help, as can elevating your legs and sleeping on your left side with your feet propped up with a pillow.

So now, we are on the name hunt already. Oh well! Goodluck to us!

My name is …

got this from Thet

***What Sheryl Ann Means***

You are the total package - suave, sexy, smart, and strong. You have the whole world under your spell, and you can influence almost everyone you know. You don’t always resist your urges to crush the weak. Just remember, they don’t have as much going for them as you do.

You are truly an original person. You have amazing ideas, and the power to carry them out.Success comes rather easily for you… especially in business and academia. Some people find you to be selfish and a bit overbearing. You’re a strong person.

You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone. You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together. At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.

You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You’re always up to something. You have a ton of energy, and most people can’t handle you. You’re very intense. You definitely are a handful, and you’re likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun.

You are a free spirit, and you resent anyone who tries to fence you in. You are unpredictable, adventurous, and always a little surprising. You may miss out by not settling down, but you’re too busy having fun to care.

You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow. You are light hearted and accepting. You don’t get worked up easily. Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is.

You are usually the best at everything … you strive for perfection. You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive. You have the classic “Type A” personality.

You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people. You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts. You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals.

Baby “J” at 20 weeks

On Wednesday, baby “J” is already 5 months old weeeee! 4 months to go. Everyday, Jason and I are getting excited. Baby “J” is now starting to do its acrobatic tricks. Too bad, di pa siya nafi-feel ni Jason even if he puts his hand on my tummy ng matagal. Pero nafi-feel niya yung pintig, but the kick itself, ako palang nakakaramdam. On my 23rd week, I’m scheduled to have a congenital ultrasound. OB wants to check every detail of baby “J” body parts. I’m so excited about this one… this time, Jason will come along with me during the ultrasound.

I could now feel my tummy’s getting bigger. And I gained 3 kilos during the holidays huhuhuhu! Blame those lechon and sweets last Christmas. My neck and armpit’s getting darker… kainis! Sabi sa baby book … blame it on the hormones … it will go away naman daw after giving birth.

According to babycenter.com:

Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. She’s also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom, and about 10 inches from head to heel — the length of a banana. (For the first 20 weeks, we use measurements taken from the top of the baby’s head to her bottom — known as the “crown to rump” measurement. After that, we use measurements from head to toe. This is because a baby’s legs are curled up against her torso during the first half of pregnancy and are very hard to measure.)

A greasy white substance called vernix caseosa coats her entire body to protect her skin during its long submersion in amniotic fluid. (This slick coating also eases the journey down the birth canal.)

Your baby is swallowing more, which is good practice for her digestive system. She’s also producing meconium, a black, sticky substance that’s the result of cell loss, digestive secretion, and swallowed amniotic fluid. This meconium will accumulate in her bowels, and you’ll see it in her first messy diaper (although a few babies pass it in utero or during delivery).

Jason and I plans to shop for baby stuff on my 7th month. At least that time daw we know the baby’s gender already and we’re still waiting for my tita’s balikbayan box for me coming this month. She told me that she bought lots of baby stuffs, so I have to check kung ano kulang. Menos gastos di ba? hehehe!

As for you baby “J”, ok lang maging malikot pero wag masyado ok? Mom’s getting worried when you overdo your acrobatic moves. And sana this time, you let Daddy feel you, you really do love playing hide and seek huh?

A Birthday and New Year’s Celebration

I’ve been slacking in updating my blog again. Since our housemaid left last Dec. 28, there were some responsibilities again that I have to handle like cooking the food for the family and doing the dirty dishes. Gardening, the dogs, and house cleaning was kuya and Jason’s responsibility. I’ve been keeping myself busy lately. My OB told me that some of the symptoms I’ve been encountering this past few days are just normal and nothing to worry about. She told me to keep myself busy so as not to concentrate too much on my pregnancy and live normal. In other words … napapraning lang daw ako hehehe!
Last Dec. 30, I celebrated my 30th birthday … yes, I’m another year older. Hay o hay! Well, that’s life, ika nga nila lahat naman tayo patungo dun. So far, lahat naman na na-envision ko na mangyayari sa akin bago ako mag-30 eh nangyari na except to ride a plane and travel abroad. Yun lang … anyway, magagawa ko naman yun even if I’m married and have kids di ba?

Yup, this is me on the day of my birthday. But when my friend, Me-anne told me they’re coming for my birthday, eh nagpa-deliver na ako sa Goldilocks! Good thing, I have a friend there who works in Goldilocks. I just texted my order and on the day of my birthday, it’s ready to pick up na. Ang saya nga may gift pa ako hihihi!

Yan lang matino namin shots that day wahahaha! Ang kukulit no? And ang tummy ko… looks so like bilbil hehehe!

Here are some of the gifts I got from them. Natuwa ako sa gift ni Angie, hindi talaga nila ginagawa to for sale sa Goldilocks, pero nagpa-personalized siya just for me. And mind you, sarap nung cake na yan. Royal icing ba naman binamit…. cake pambata hehehe. I so love the bag Relly and Me-anne gave me. I haven’t used it but I’m sure I’ll be using it anytime soon hehehe. Vena gave all her friends this cute dog stuff toy … and it’s so sweet of her at naalala niya ako. But the best gift I’ve receive this year is the coming of baby “J” on May 2008. Just like what Jason told me, it’s the best gift ever hehehe! Oh, hubby bought me the Harry Potter 7 book and My Baby Book. Never been so happy!

After my birthday comes New Year’s Eve. We have a simple medya noche dinner … leftover from yesterdays feast hehehe and some lechon, a gift from our ninong in Cebu weeeee! No videoke for that night since it’s so foggy outside because of the fumes coming from fireworks. I was forced to wear a surgical mask during the event … here are some of the photos:

Sino ba yan buntis na yan? Ang laki ng pata? wahahaha! Ngayon ko lang na-realize, di manlang ako nagbihis ng maayos for the New Year celebration hehehe. So thats it… hope everybody had a blast in welcoming the new year. Sana maging maunlad ang ating bagong taon.
