Some wish granted…

I didn’t get a PSP… but my brother bought himself a PS2 Slim. Enough to keep me sane while they’re all away. Weeeee… yun nga lang, wala pa games na medyo ma-eenjoy ko na mag-isa lang. Lahat kasi fighting games … siyempre lalaki may-ari what do you expect hehehe. Di bale pag lumabas kami ni Jason hahanap agad ako ng games hahaha.

Last weekend, Mom and I get to wash some of baby J’s clothes. Hinati namin yung paglaba … next week na yung iba pa na hindi nalalabhan. Actually marami pa, madali lang naman labhan in fairness. Problema kasi yung pagplantsa. Mahirap magplantsa ng small clothes. They’re already stock up sa mga plastic containers habang hindi pa kami nakakabili ni Jason ng cabinet for baby J. Sana magawa namin this week dahil on Saturday we’ll gonna wash the second batch of baby J’s clothes.

I already have three botton up dress shirts na magagamit ko sa hospital. And I also bought I preggy leggings coz my leggings are so over worn na. I’m planning to buy other colors coz I so love the fitting and length.  Hmmmm… sana di magalit si Jason … patay nanaman ang credit card ko hahaha.

I’m starting to pack my hospital bag na … exciting … now I need to buy nursing bra and nursing pads …

My Tita Joy and cousin Bing went for avisit. I so uberly miss them. Parang may ESP kasi the night before sila pumunta dito pinag-uusapan nila mag-ina na dalawin kami. Kami naman ni mom pinag-usapan naman namin kinabukasan na ayain sila punta ng mall para kumain at magchikahan. Nagpunta na sila sa house ng lunchtime at chikahan galore nga. Kinuha na din nila yung mga hand-me-down clothes ko na matagal na nakatambak sa closet ko. Parang nagshopping nanaman silang dalawa sa dami ng binigay namin hehehe. Hay o hay, sana lagi dumadalaw sila tita, kasi di sila nauubusan ng kwento palagi.

Oh … on Wednesday may dadating ng household help … wish us luck. Sana this time maging ok na. Malapit na ako mag-term and gusto nila mom na pagpahinga nalang ako palagi dahilpag lumabas si Baby J, hello to sleepless nights na hehehe. Kailangan ko daw ng matinding resistensiya to take care of her.

Baby J, just want to let you know that you’re making me happy everyday now that you’re too active. Daddy Jason also loves talking to you because you always respond with a kick on his face hehehe. A few more weeks and you’ll be with us to cuddle, to kiss, and to be love.

How I wish …

… I have a Sony PSP to play even in bed. I have a hard time sitting in front of a computer nowadays because of my backaches. Pag may PSP maaliw ako sa bahay kahit mag-isa lang ako weeeeeeee … I’m sure Jason wouldn’t allow me to buy one … hay o hay! Ok continue daydreaming.

… I could buy maternity dresses this week that I can use in May. I’m so itching on packing my hospital bag with stuffs that Baby J and I need. Is it too early ba? When is the right time to pack your things for the hospital?

… I could buy a pair of shoes or a pretty sandals to go with the dresses hehehe … complete attire siyempre!

… Mom would let me wash baby J’s clothes … sabi niya kasi too early pa daw madudumihan lang ulit kaya wag daw muna … hay o hay …

… I could do more … but still I can’t. I need to be more careful now than before because baby J will be out soon.

… I could go out with friends or Jason every now and then … I’m so bored!

… we could win the lottery. Last week balik-taya ang drama namin … but no luck this week … 2 lang ang tumama. No winners yet. Imagine, P216,452,088.00 na ang jackpot. Sa 1 million nga matutuwa na ako … sa 216M pa! I think tataya ulit si Jason this coming Sunday.

… I could read a book … but it always lulls me to sleep whenever I attempt to do so.

… Baby J won’t give me a hard time pag nanganak na ako sa kanya. I know my baby is so cooperative. Susunod yan sa Mommy at Daddy. Di yan pasaway hihihi.

Baby J @ 31 Weeks

Yes, 31 weeks na ako sa Wednesday. Weeeeee… Jason and I stopped shopping for a while for Holy Week. We just stayed at home with my two brothers and my mom. While Dad went to Laoag to visit Mamang. Baby J received some hand-me-down stuffs from her cousin Jamiel. Sana di na ako bumili ng maraming onesies, kasi puro onesies yung binigay nila. And eto pa, pinamana din yung baptismal gown niya. Kakatuwa! I can’t wait for Baby J to use the Haviannas Slippers. So cute!

There were times na nan-totoxic si baby J. Susme, minsan super tamad magkikikilos. Siyempre ako naman hindi ko maiwasan ang mag-panic. May time nga umiiyak na ako sa sobrang ayaw talaga niya kumilos kahit ginigising na siya ni Jason. Pero gumagalaw din naman siya, tamad lang talaga.

I’m also having my allergy attacks because of the heat. Di ba allergic ako sa sarili kong sweat? So kung san may sweat, may allergy ako dun. Sabi naman ni OB ok naman ang topicals, wag lang oral medicines. Pero as much as possible, cornstarch nalang daw ilagay ko sa mga allergies ko.

Medyo madalas na ang backache ko ngayon, and I could feel na mabigat na talaga ang tummy ko. Hindi na din ako makalakad ng matagal kasi mabilis na ako mangalay at sumakit ang paa. Pero hindi ko kinakalimutan mag-walking everyday para hindi naman ako manasin. Pati stretching at deep breathing ginagawa ko. Lately I’ve been having asthma attacks because of the weather. Sobrang init sa tanghali kaya lagi naka-on ang aircon (patay nanaman kami sa kuryente!). Sabi nila mom, ok lang daw kasi nga naiiwan ako mag-isa dito sa bahay kaya mas maganda dapat ok ang resistensiya ko for Baby J.

Maundy Thursday was spent at home fixing our room/nursery room. We agreed that we switched rooms with my brother kasi mas bigger yung room nila kaysa sa amin. I was really dead tired that day kahit puro dampot dito dampot dun lang ginagawa ko. Hindi naman kasi pwede ako mag-ayos nun lahat hello??!! Baka mapaanak naman ako ng di-oras nun.

We did try to set up the playpen. Hindi pa kasi nakikita ni mom yung binili namin. Super smile naman si mom… ganda daw. Pero after that pinaligpit na sa akin ni Mom kaagad yung crib. Masama daw kasi na wala pang baby tapos ready na yung playpen or crib … hmmmm… pamahiin! Wala naman mawawala kaya niligpit na namin. Plan pa naman namin na kinabukasan na namin siya iligpit para makita din ni Dad.

Nung dumating naman si Dad, eh nataon super duper init ng panahon. Bigla siyang nag-alala sa baby kasi baka daw mainitan ng grabe! So he asked Jason kung san maganda maglagay ng split type na airconditioner sa house namin. Mag-canvass na daw ng affordable but reliable model ng aircon. Dapat ma-install na before Baby J comes in May. O di ba demanding hahaha.

We’re still on the hunt of our new car … Lahat kasi ng nakikita namin sa Ebay at Sulit.com eh nabili na. Jason wanted an SUV para daw family car na talaga ang dating. Kaya medyo nahihirapan kami talaga maghanap. Meron ba kayo alam?

For those who are eating rice (I know naman everybody does), start na kayo magtipid, pero wag kayo mag-hoard. Magkakaroon tayo ng shortage of rice. Sabi ko na nga ba, may dahilan yung half rice ek-ek policy nila sa mga restaurants eh. This is according to a very reliable source. Kaya nga kagabi, nag-isip kami magpamilya kung ano ang alternative na pwede kainin instead of rice. Serious kami masyado no? Naku pabor ata ako sa mash potatoes at corn as rice replacement. Mas nakakapayat ata yun hahaha.

Lord, help us na malagpasan ang crisis na ito. And thanks for all the blessings You have given us.

Update on Baby J’s Fetal Size

I don’t know if I can really explain the medical terms my OB told me last Wednesday about my ultrasound. Kaya I’ll make the long story short, Baby J is now only a week delayed of her conception age. I’m on my 29th week last Wednesday, and her size is now on the 28th week. Oh di ba … and here’s the sad part … I gained 2 kilos in just 10 days … waaaaahhhh! I told OB that I think its not Baby J who’s getting bigger… its me hahaha! Hay wala naman ako magagawa … they feed me almost everything except for the sweets. Who can resist that?

His muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his head is growing bigger to make room for his developing brain. Akalain mo, 30 weeks na ako next week … I’m now going to start my every-two-weeks prenatal check up. Grabe, ganun na kabilis. Pero may times pa rin na naiinip na ako at atat manganak. Some of my friends were already asking me if I’m ready to give birth. For me kasi, one time pain lang naman yun, and every mother go through that stage naman di ba? Ang importante sa akin is to give birth to Baby J whether masakit siya o hindi, nakakatakot man o hindi … For me, it’s much better to take care of her na nakikita at nahahawakan ko siya, than taking care of her inside me.

We are now a bit of a challenge to make our bedroom/nursery room for Baby J. By the looks of it, mukhang maganda nakabitin yung crib niya para may space sa kwarto wahahaha! We still have less than a month to do all that. And I’m sure Daddy Jason will find a way :D>

Things Come and Go

We got this baby sometime June 2007. We bought this in replacement for Pachuchay. Honestly speaking, I don’t have much memories with this toy. When Jason bought this, we are already trying to conceive. Since matagtag siya, di ako masyado sumasakay sa kanya. A lot of times just going to the church, pero as in going somewhere na malayo, hindi ginagamit ni Jason to pag kasama ako. Until I got pregnant, I didn’t get to ride it from that time until it was sold yesterday. I felt bad though coz It’s been here with us for almost a year already. Sanay na ang mata ko na nakikita siya sa garage namin. And I’m also looking forward na maisakay din one of this days si Baby J sa car na yan na mukhang laruan hehehe. Pero for some reasons … he needs to go. But still, I want to thank this car, for always keeping my husband safe whenever he’s going. And I’m sure kahit hindi showy si hubby, alam ko nalungkot siya nung nabili si Poohroza. I just told him na tataya kami sa sa Lotto para pag nanalo kami eh bili kami ng Mitsubishi Estrada wahahaha! (goal ni Jason na mabili yun hehehe). I’m sure Poohroza will enjoy his stay with his new owner. We could see how this guy fell in love with Poohroza, imagine dalawang gabi hindi nakatulog dahil gustong-gusto na bilhin si Poohroza?

Tomorrow is our last dance, a man named Paolo will be the new owner of my feroza. Hopefully he will take care also of my pooh-roza, sad to say but i have to go as a member of feroza-ph but not as a friend.

Just as Jason promised … yesterday we went to buy almost everything Baby J needs. Here are some of it … Ok, impulse buying lang yung iba diyan. I just grabbed it because it’s on sale eh hahaha! Not in photo is Baby J’s Graco Playpen and The First Year Infant to Toddler bathtub. Yup, that’s the surprise hehehe. Di pa kami bumili ng stroller … hindi namin feel yung items na nandun. And Jason told me na ilalambing daw namin sa Kuya niya yung stroller hehehe.

I planned to buy frogsuits for baby J. Pero since marami na siya shirts, eh pants nalang ang binili ko ulit. Mas madali nga naman silipin ang diaper pag hiwalay ang shirt sa pants. Kaso ang cute kasi tignan ang babies pag naka-frogsuit hehehe. I also bought 3 long sleeve tie side shirts … trial lang for her first few weeks. Kasi baka pawisin naman siya kahit may aircon eh baka hindi din niya gamitin. So yan lang muna. Madami na siya onesies … sabi nga ni mom baka hindi na maglampin si Baby J, kasi sayang ang onesies pag naka-lampin, kasi pati damit mababasa sa weewee at madudumihan din sa poopoo. Hindi ako bumibili ng booties, socks nalang binibili ko, may ok kasi yun I think, mukhang maluwang yung booties eh. At least yung socks pwede pa niya gamitin by the time she;s already wearing shoes. Cnino Pino diapers were also for trial … si mom kasi yun pala gusto bilhin before kaso di niya ma-describe kung ano itsura. Ako pa naka-diskubre hahaha! Grooming and Hospital kit is also complete na.

I love the Graco Diaper bag, although it’s too bulky for use pag lalabas kami ni Jason pero at least habang wala pa ako Baby Couture bag eh may diaper bag na si Baby J. And isa pa, hindi naman ako magbibitbit niyan … si Jason hehehe! Sa tingin ko nga kasya na lahat ng things niya needed for the hospital in that bag … I’ll get myself a separate bag nalang for my stuff. Para di din magkahalo gamit namin, para alam din kung san nila kukuhanin yung dapat kunin hehehe.

Now, time to check the list again:

After seeing all this stuffs (plus the other stuffs we bought before), we really can’t contain the excitement. Si baby J nalang ang kulang para sa lahat ng ito. Parang gusto ko na agad siya i-ire na di maintindihan. Pero siyempre I wanted na husto sa gulang si Baby J bago lumabas. I don’t want any complications whatsoever, kaya I’m just here taking care of her while she’s still inside. Konting panahon nalang naman at nandito na rin siya sa outside world. Kaya baby J, just enjoy your stay there inside Mommy. Ako bahala sa iyo

Baby J wants to be a Supermodel

That’s what the OB Sonologist told me after my ultrasound last Monday…

I had an emergency visit to my OB because I was worried because Baby J is not moving that much. Since I’ve reached my 24 week, Baby J is so active. But last Monday was different. Her heart tones were normal naman, pero napansin nga ni OB na she’s too lazy to move. Ginigising kasi niya, nag-move lang once tapos di na nasundan. That made her decide na magpa-ultrasound daw ako. She just wanted to check if I have adequate amnionitic fluid. Baka daw kasi dehydrated si baby.

So dumiretso na ako sa Ultrasound room ng FEU. Nataranta ang family ko kasi I texted them that I’m in the hospital for my ultrasound so walang mainit ang ulo dahil wala pa luto sa bahay dahil nandito pa ako. Hahaha! I admit my fault, mali pagkakatext ko. Nagulat nalang ako at ang nanay ko dumadating na … buti nalang daw maaga siya umalis ng office at nakarating sa FEU on time. Awww thanks mom! Si Jason naman mega text ng text asking if I’m ok, or si Baby J ok naman ba … is there something wrong daw ba kaya pina-ultrasound ako o kasama sa routine check up ko daw yun. Hay, nahawa na si Jason sa pagka-worry wart ko hahaha!

Everything went well … normal heart tones, adequate amnionitic fluid except for the fetal size. I’m already on my 28th week, and her fetal size is only at the size of 23 weeks old baby. Sabi nung OB Sonologist mahina daw yung baby ko … in a sense na mahina daw kumain dahil ang payat. Medyo nag-worry kami ni Jason, pero sabi ni OB wala dapat kami ikabahala. May repeat ultrasound ako next week to a different OB Sonologist na. She changed my multivitamins with amino acids for baby J’s growth. Some of my N@wie sisters told me to eat lots of protein naman. We’re praying naman that Baby J going to be fine. Sana nga bago mag-full term eh lumaki siya ayon sa conception week niya.

Kinausap ni Jason si baby J, sabi niya, “Baby, gusto mo ba maging supermodel? bakit ayaw mo kumain masyado, bat ka nagda-diet?”, and she moved hehehe! Kakainggit talaga bonding nila ni Jason, kasi mas nagrerespond si Baby J kay Jason kaysa sa akin eh. As of today, everything were back to normal, I mean the fetal movements were normal na compared to last Monday. Malamang nag-inarte lang anak ko hahaha.

Finally, goodbye to 2nd trimester. I’m now on my 3rd and last trimester … grabe konting panahon nalang at welcome to the outside world, Baby J. According to babycenter.com:

Something … Something …

We would’ve been in the mall for one whole day if not for Jason’s “call of nature” thing. But it’s enough for us to buy some things for baby J and to relax and have time for ourselves alone. Usually kasi, lagi namin kasama yung family ko which have been a family activity na every Sunday or kahit hindi every Sunday, eh lumalabas kami at nagmo-mall.

We started looking for a good playpen and stroller for Baby J. Ang reason kaya di pa kami makabili is hindi pa ayos ang room namin to fit in the playpen. Plus, if we’ll gonna buy it now, san naman namin itatambak yun? It will just accumulate a lot of dust that would be harmful for Baby J (kahit pa naka-plastic yun). Kaya it’s better if it will stay at the mall for a while. Since alam naman na namin yung bibilhin namin, madali nalang yun.

Something Winnie the Pooh

Comforter and Pillow Set Case

… nakakatawa to kasi we bought the first comforter, pillows and bolster set na mas expensive than this one. When we bought the item, bigla bumulaga sa akin tong set na to at bigla akong na-hypnotize at papunta sa kanya. Sinundan naman ako ni Jason, tinanong niya kung bakit … sabi ko “Labs, matagal na ako naghahanap ng something Winnie The Pooh tapos nakita ko to” … ang ending … bumili kami ng pillowcase set at comforter para di na ako ma-depress hahaha! Hindi naman siya masasayang kasi siyempre kailangan din naman palitan ang beddings ni baby J no! hahaha!

… trip lang kasi gusto ko may something Winnie the Pooh outfit siya hehehe. Yung iba kasi hindi pa pwede sa kanya. Jason and I talked about not buying a lot of clothes until she’s 3 or 4 months. Kasi transition stage ng bata yung mga months na yun, we’ll never know kung gaano siya kabilis lumaki di ba? So bumili lang ako ng something Winnie the Pooh na pwede pa niya magamit kahit mag-6 months siya hehehe. And I’m sure her lola would buy her a lot of dresses when she’s old enough to use it.

… that I explained to Jason kung ano ang use niya, and bought it right away. Madali kausap ang hubby ko when it comes to Baby J.

Makita namin na it’s on sale kaya binili na namin. I love it so girly promise! Ito yung first namin na na-purchase. Kasi nga it’s so girly. Tapos nakita namin yung Winnie the Pooh hahaha. Pero ok lang naman din, konti lang difference.

R’ Jellybean Baby Sling

Since nasa SM North na kami, eh bumili na kami nito. Though yung color and design na gusto ko wala sa items nila, eh binili ko na to … sa apat na designs na nandun eh eto yung nagustuhan ko. Only to find out when I bloghopped … it’s the same baby sling Mec uses for Yakee hihihi. Sorry sis, I hope you don’t mind. I started practicing on how to use it … medyo nahihirapan ako sa locking system at pano ilo-loose yung sling … siguro nga mahirap kasi pagpraktisan pag walang laman yung sling. Di ko naman pwede gamitin sa mga toy dogs namin. Naghahanap ako ng old stuff toy that could fit it like a baby. Sana mahagilap ko yung mga stuff toy na bigay kay bunso ng GF niya hehehe.

Something Additional

Baby J already have 4 frogsuits and 2 pants (courtesy of my three beautiful Tita’s in the US), so I just bought her two additional pants. And I added 2 nappy clips for the lampin coz I only bought 2 last time in yellow and green. Gusto ko all colors kaya binili ko hehehe. Inisip ko nga bumili ng Chino Pino Diapers … eh kaso baka di naman siya lagi mag-lampin so sinet-aside ko na muna. OK na yung two dozens of lampin that mom bought for her. Bumawi nalang ako sa nappy clips hehehe.

Sabi ni Jason magdidate pa ulit kami next week… actually magiging every Sunday activity na namin dalawa yun. Kasi para daw ma-exercise ako at di manasin sa kakatambay sa bahay. Hahaha sweet talaga ng asawa ko. Pero when I told him na we need to buy this and that and those, parang nagbago isip hahaha!

Good news! I passed my glucose test! I texted OB the result, and she said that my OGCT is normal … weeeeeeee! And wala na din ako UTI … salamat Sa Diyos… I’m still waiting for my Hepa Test dahil di namin nakuha pa yesterday. Sana negative ako sa hepa … I’ll make kwento after my prenatal check up on Wednesday.
